Collectormania 9 Report This was held at the Milton Keynes Shopping Centre from the 30th of April to the 1st of May It is the first time I have done one of the Showmaster events. They are free to enter but you pay more for your autographs and it has more stalls than the usual type of convention that I do. To be honest it was not as good, as the others that I attend have a better social side to it, and the public dont get in the way, as this was in the middle of a shopping centre! It also ment the we where staying a wee bit away from the venue, therefore had to get a taxi to the centre and back all the time. There where some good guest though and I got all the autographs that I wanted. All my friends got the autographs that they wanted, some even went back a few times (you have to feel sorry for the guests!!) The stalls where all very tempting, with everything you could wish for that was Sci-Fi and fantasy related This included some real shiny Alliance patches that we got. There was also a great stall with replica weapons, all the swords, axes and stuff from the movies, only if I had more money!! There was an excellent one on preview from the forth coming movie Ultraviolet. Ok so I said that the social life was not as good, but lets quantify this, that is not as good as drinking for 4 days straight with hundreds of friends (well ok 80 good friends) With that all said there were a lot of very good friends there and we still did a fair amount of socialising, or drinking.
